People often measure up their blessings (or lack thereof) against other's.
Perhaps I don't have a lot of money and material belongings. Those are little things that the evil one uses to keep those who judge me away from God.
I am blessed in every other area of my life with health, amazing children, a wonderful husband, talents, creativity; those gifts are eternal.
Reading Proverbs tells us how to live our lives and I find it incredibly inspiring. It tells us how to handle money and judgment and how to live righteously.
I'd much rather have what I do than have an expensive lifestyle and lack the blessings that often accompanies it.
That of course doesn't mean that you can't have it all. When you fulfill your destiny of God's plan, you get all your desires in addition to the perks of being a King's Kid and I look forward to that. What God gives, no man can take away and God has sent Jesus for us to have life and life to the full. However nothing comes free - it takes work and I'm up for the challenge!
